We finished crafting a pair of 1930's style wearable handmade shoes in Judy Garland as Dorothy's size 5B to be used for our hand-sewn ruby slippers later next month.

These shoes match the same shape and size of the best pair known as the "Witch's Shoes."

Gilbert Adrian, the Hollywood costume designer for The Wizard of Oz, wanted the "Witch's Shoes" ruby slippers be made a bit sexy by having the heels half an inch longer than other screen-used pairs, the toes a bit pointy and no orange felt on the soles.      

Teen superstar Judy Garland as Dorothy primarily wore this pair during the shooting in Munchkinland and closeup shots throughout the movie.

We are finishing off another project before we continue working with this beautiful pair in December, 2020. This has been a busy year and Judy Garland as Dorothy's size 5B hand-sewn ruby slippers will be our last project before we take a rest for the Holiday season.
