This month in September, 2018, we will be working on a pair of hand-sewn ruby slippers in Judy Garland as Dorothy's size 5B for a great guy.

We finished a pair of hand-sewn bows for this project and they are so straight and perfect. The fascinating thing about our work is that the two bow look near identical and this is all done by hand-sewing.

The rectangular glass stones, rhinestones and bugle beads on our bows are exact reproductions used on the original bows in The Wizard of Oz.

A rectangular glass stone has a hole on both ends for sewing.

It's light, as every material needs to be so that the ruby slippers won't be heavy for Judy Garland as Dorothy to walk with.

The rectangular glass stone is sewn on the bow with double threads for extra tightness because it's bigger than the rhinestones and bugle beads.

Stunning beauty Judy Garland as Dorothy's brand new pair of size 5B shoes is finished.

Everything is made from scratch including the wooden heels to match the original ruby slippers worn by the Minnesotan product.

Our shoes are real shoes that can be worn containing a golden embossed label inside the right insole with the words "Innes Shoe Co., Los Angeles, Pasadena, Hollywood."

"#7 Judy Garland" is written inside, along the top of the right and left shoe with a black fountain pen. Glossy red paint is applied under the shoes.

The long hours of sequining this pair of 1930's American style women's shoes begins to turn them into a pair of hand-sewn ruby slippers in the same condition when filming The Wizard of Oz.
