We are taking a break with the shoes and making some high quality bows that we plan to use on Judy Garland's ruby slippers.

Lao silk is used as the overlay. This is the type of fabric they make traditional shirts in Laos and is more expensive than the standard fabric.

The little red stones with the rounded claw settings are rhinestones identical to the originals, and the high quality glass rectangular stones have been hand cut to match the originals so they are not available at any bead stores.

Everything is hand-sewn and we still need to sew the bugle beads, so making bows of this caliber takes a lot of time and work.

We have a lot of custom-made shoes in Judy Garland's size to work on this season, so it's going to be a very busy year with ruby slipper making.

Lots of hard work, and lots of meditation to get them done. Below is a picture of the base shoes that is next up, and a couple of pictures of Judy Garland's ruby slippers that we have proudly made.

"#7 Judy Garland" is written on the top of both shoe with a black fountain pen, and we've got a gold stamp on the right shoe like the originals reading "Innes Shoe Co., Los Angeles, Hollywood, Pasadena".

So let's get the ball rolling by sewing the sequins onto the shoes.

Indescribable beauty. The right shoe of Judy Garland's ruby slippers is finished, and the sequins now cover the entire shoe using the same technique to represent the original ruby slippers made for The Wizard of Oz.

This project is still half way, as work now begins on the left shoe. This is probably our company's one millionth pair of ruby slippers so experience is on our side, and we always strive for perfection.

We are within days of finishing up an absolutely gorgeous pair of ruby slippers.

It's easier to look, than constructing the most iconic movie memorabilia. Lots of red thread underneath all those sequins. The task is hard and challenging because you're sewing by hand with a regular straight needle on a three-dimensional shape of a shoe, and not on a flat surface of a fabric.
