We will be using this custom-made size 5B base shoes to work on our next pair of ruby slippers. You won't find this particular shoes anywhere else but with us, they are the exact shape to the pair Judy Garland as Dorothy wore in Munchkinland.

A pair of high quality bows have already been done. It took a week and many hours each day to sew all those little stones and beads, so these bows are as authentic as they come.

The last thing you want is cheap-looking bows on high quality ruby slippers. It wouldn't go well together and ruins the overall look of the ruby slippers.

We are set to start all over again, yes all over again and sew over 4,600 sequins onto the shoes by hand.

We are halfway done with Judy Garland's ruby slippers. Just beautiful! The sequins appear dark in the photos below but the color is actually red.

This is the reason why the studio used a lot of lighting in the making of The Wizard of Oz, so that the ruby slippers show up as bright red.

When people request for a dark burgundy pair of ruby slippers, I always tell them you don't want that, you want red metallic sequins because these are the authentic sequins used on the original ruby slippers. The ruby slippers can appear red or dark red depending on the light source.

We've kicked off the new year by finishing a gorgeous pair of ruby slippers as worn by Judy Garland as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.

Hand sewing those tiny sequins that you see on the shoes involves a repetitive motion thousands of times, so a lot of hard work and immense amount of time goes into making high quality ruby slippers.

These ruby slippers were constructed for Judy Garland as Dorothy in mind, so they are for the true fans.
