Please try to refrain from posting anything unnecessary on this particular thread because many people will be coming here to see the ruby slippers. The next production will be so beautiful just like Judy Garland as Dorothy wore.

In regard to your question, that depends what people believe. If you don't believe in something then it doesn't mean anything to you, that's what life is all about.

Some ruby slipper makers believe that they've touched an original piece of item that Judy Garland wore or owned, and therefore their ruby slippers have a connection to her superpowers because they are made by their "hand".

The ruby slippers I craft is magical because I believe that Judy Garland's spirit put them on the shoes. Her photo stands beside them and I have made my wish to her.

Remember that if you are a Buddhist, a pair shoes, even ruby slippers can't be placed higher than a photo or statue of Buddha and monks. At my place, a pair of ruby slippers is on display up high but they are in another room and a fair distance away from Buddha and monk objects.

Judy Garland's stunning size 5B base shoes is now in place to begin the sewing process with sparkling red sequins, thanks to Daniel for providing the shoes. The bottom of the shoes also needs to be painted red.

Inside the right shoe has a gold stamp exactly like the originals, reading "Innes Shoe Co. Los Angeles, Pasadena, Hollywood".

This is the same base shoes that MGM used to make the ruby slippers for Judy Garland as Dorothy to wear in The Wizard of Oz. It's covered with red silk fabric overlay, and all set for me to get started with the sequins.

This base shoes is the real deal that was constructed with precision and attention to detail. It's the size 5B "witches shoes" with slightly higher heels and more pointy toes than other pairs of ruby slippers.

The hottest pair of shoes that Judy Garland as Dorothy wore in the movie so I'm looking forward to working with them.

It is good that Debbie Reynolds kept the original pair of shoes in pristine condition.

This is one of Judy Garland's base shoe for the ruby slippers in the construction stage I guess you could call it.

There's still lots of work ahead but it's looking stunning so far with the shiny red sequins. The sequins are sewn onto the built-in overlay with a regular straight needle without going through the actual shoes so it takes some skill.

Our ruby slippers is being created to look like new in 1939, or 1938 when the The Wizard of Oz started filming, so you're about to see a very high quality reproduction of a pair of ruby slippers that's in pristine condition and ready for Judy Garland as Dorothy to wear on the set.
