The Lao stock market on Tuesday finished down 0.39 percent against the previous trading day.
The Lao Securities Exchange composite index decreased by 5.09 points to 1,304.29 a total of 63,931 shares worth about 459 million Lao kip (about $59,000) changed hands at the stock market.
There are only two companies listed at the Lao stock market, which are Laos' largest commercial bank Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) and state-run energy giant Electricite du Laos Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen). The share price of BCEL share fell by 2.92 percent to 8,300 kip (about $1.06), and EDL-Gen's remained stable at 6,200 kip (about 79 US cents).
