But I know couple of people who is US citizens that just move to Laos and they have no problem living there. They're under 40 year old.

When i was in vacationing in Phuket bout 3 yrs ago. I ran into a British guy he told me he was buying a small house there. I wonder if Laos goverment allow non-citizen to purchase house or land .I have heard in Vietnam they have made it like a lease thing. I would love to have me a small place in Laos .

Yes they're working in friends or family construction business. They're doing very well cost of living is cheaper there.

Nice 10,000 or $100,000? In the US I think anybody can get green card for $500,000 investment. Then citizenship in 5 year. Great idea you have to earn and don't get it right alway.

10,000 usd for citizenship, rural class certificate. I don't know why he said there is a difference between city class and rural class.
