American beauty Judy Garland propelled to global superstardom thanks to her role as Dorothy in the 1939 classic blockbuster movie The Wizard of Oz.
The Minnesota-born entertainer was already a young up-and-coming star before her appearance in The Wizard of Oz, with previous vaudeville experience, singing on various radio shows and starring in earlier movies at MGM, but Judy Garland is most identified as the brunette girl with the ruby slippers, in a career as a singer and actress that spanned more than forty years.
Judy Garland attracted a lot of attention with her girl-next-door good looks and talent in her life. She worked hard to make people happy and she made MGM millions of dollars, she was the little princess who became a queen in entertainment during the Golden Age of Hollywood.
