The Judy Garland story is one of the most interesting in movie history. She epitomised the energy, determination and commitment for a woman who slogged it out on stage and screen, and she was a mighty source of inspiration to so many people from all walks of life.
Judy Garland signed a contract in the mid-1930's with MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer), starring as Dorothy in 1939's The Wizard of Oz and she went on to become the studios most outstanding success. Miss Garland was one of the most accomplished entertainers of all time, and nobody lived or died with more dignity or class.
