Judy Garland's show business journey began from Grand Rapids as a kiddie singer to landing a contract with MGM studios who didn't know what to do with her, and she rose to become one of the biggest stars in the history of movies.

Off stage and screen, Judy Garland's beauty, talent and fame was very influential to young and old people, and she was the first celebrity ever who started the whole "gay icon" thing.
