The Wizard Oz stunner, Judy Garland was very much in demand at the height of her film career during the 1930's and 40's. This period saw Judy Garland starring as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, and Esther in Meet Me in St. Louis among other classic movies.
Her name alone "Judy Garland" was enough to ensure the success of a film at a time when image and talent meant everything to a film studio.
In fact, she was considered MGM's greatest asset and their biggest money maker throughout her illustrious film career. All eyes were on Judy Garland as she unleashed her singing and acting talent to the world.
