The Wizard of Oz superstar, Judy Garland starred in her first and only drama film at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer called "The Clock". A romantic comedy movie released in 1945, which was directed by Miss Garland's future husband, Vincente Minnelli.
After performing in so many musical films, Miss Garland needed a break from singing and her starring role in The Clock brought her many smiles and laughter, and a new lease of life. Judy Garland's beauty and acting talents, and Vincente Minnelli's professionalism and intelligence as a movie director was clear.
