I haven't heard of any "patikan" get kiddnapped in Laos. I can't get involved in Lao politics.

Me too I stay away from politics. Politics is a dirty and evil game. To be a politician you have to be a good lier too. Look at Thailand for example. Big mess there. Opposition are jail or murder just like Laos.

Speaking of Lao being sponsored and moving to America, it all depends what their agendas are. They come here to work and find opportunity and a new life, the government here has no issue with that. If you come here from Laos and start political problems or do anything illegal towards the government or harm their citizens, I can assure you this person will get deported back to Laos along with his/her family that brought him here. In the past, it has happened in some cases.
