Apart from buffet restaurants, the normal restaurants in Laos where you order your meals off the menu are very stingy with their meat.

That's even cheaper than in Laos. 24 eggs here cost around $3 US. A box of spaghetti at a street restaurant is about the same price as in the USA, my favourite pasta dish.

I've already touched on the issue of restaurants 'saving' everything well past their use by dates. After leaking from the backside on an average of twice a night, I just had to boycott those establishments. It wasn't just me who caught severe cases of diarrhea, my whole entourage picked up on it too. There were even times where we had to impromptu - en masse- toilet visits while we were out on the town. Some detoured off to the bushes - not me, I was treated like a 'king', so of course I got the 'throne' - to take care of business. Until this 'stingy' behaviour is rectified, there will be no more dining out for me.

I'd rather not. The community in NZ is very tight. Everyone knows everyone. I've already made a few enemies on here, maybe I'll make more if I reveal my identity. I know most of what I enquire about is unconventional. Sex is not something openly discussed in Laos. I also would like to save my parents the stigma.
