LaoCowboy, They have stir fry dishes, rice and noodle dishes, lots of meat, some seafood, soups, fruits and desserts, etc.

For example beef in the US mainly comes from cow that is forced fed with corn in a closed system. Cow raised in Laos probably roam around and grass fed? Or does beef come from neighbouring country, ie Thailand?

We raise our own cows in Laos, but if we run short then we import them from Vietnam and Thailand.

Meat products in Laos is okay, but many are sold in the open markets and they are usually left out in the heat, unlike in the US where they probably keep their meat in cooler and cleaner areas.

That's very good to hear and these cows are most likely grass fed from the open space and not forced fed with corn mix? In the US beefs that come from grass fed cows ('organic' beef) are very expensive (2X the 'conventional' corn fed beef).

Stir fry dishes with rice and noodles are Thai as well. They have cooked Lao "larp", which I forgot to mention.

The only time I spoke with them was when I ordered a drink. But other than that, all the food is on the table. You just go and fill up your plate with anything you like.
