We mainly play all the Lao games!

I'm part of the younger generation, so we used to play childhood games like Last Card etc.
Texas Hold Em Poker is popular among the younger generation too.

The OGs are straight up gamblers, bro! They usually start playing on Friday - after work - and go all the way until Sunday, sometimes even 'till Monday! With no sleep!

When I was younger, the ladies used to play Dam Dum/Dam Dang for 10c per unit. Back then, a $10 profit was considered a killing! Now everybody plays quick-fire games like: Gehr or Pok Deng. Thousands of dollars can change hands in one round alone!

Does the Lao community in Minnesota have 'home games' like which I have just described?

Nobody makes money. After playing for 3 of 4 days straight, the money dissapears into the rake. Good thing you're not hooked.
