Not only were these posts allowed by Lao Pride (they are still here) but when several members complained about them, Larb Dip received no kind of penalty at all and was even complemented and defended by the Administrators when another member suggested banning him.  Larb Dip is now gloating at length in what he sees as a ‘victory’.

On the international discussion forums I participate in, such posts would be not be allowed not only because they are pornographic, but also because they are seriously ‘off the topic’ of a particular thread.   Those sites have a hierachy of ‘penalties’ for transgressors of the rules.  For example:

1. Written warning
2. Second written warning.
3. Six month ban
4. One year ban
5. Permanent ban.

And the moderators enforce the rules gently but firmly.

If we want to read pornography or pick up sexual partners, there are tens of thousands of forums and chat rooms to choose from.   I had not expected Lao Pride to be so tolerant of such behaviour.

I see the whole story now and to be very honest I was not aware of all of his replies like these ones you'd mentioned and they do looked inapproriate for this forum.  I only read the amusing replies between Dip Larb and Admins. 

I still want to help out hte other school as well and how I can contact you?

If such a policy were introduced and applied at Lao Pride, I would continue to contribute here and would do my best to encourage those members who have already left to return.

Maybe other members could give their thoughts on the simple system Longhang and I are suggesting.  The best discussion forums are those built up and managed with the democratically-expressed wishes of its members at heart - not as a dictatorship or at the whim of its owners. Look at the votes at the top of this thread to get an indication of the wishes of the majority of voters on this issue.

Two of your remaining members, Longhang and I, have given you a perfectly fair solution.  Continue to ignore it if you like but you won't be hearing from me again if you do.

At least I will have tried.
