Vientiane to run cables underground

(KPL) The Government has agreed to hire a Chinese company “Huawei Technologies” to conduct a feasibility study on operation of city administration by advanced electronic system, digital and intelligent system in four-inner districts of Vientiane Capital.

The project will remove electrical, telephone and other wires to underground, and improve streetlights in Sikhottabong, Chanthaboury, Saysettha and Sisattanak
(what about Hadxaifong, man? Angry)
districts of Vientiane Capital, State administration with digital synchronization system, city administration with digital system, tourism administration with electronic, electronic conference to support and provide advanced training to Vientiane Capital officers in short term and long term.

The project will build up infrastructures system and provide required equipment for project execution.

Both sides have agreed to cooperate with each other to find suitable financing solution for the project.

The Huawei Technologies Company will provide technical experts and financial coordinators with Service of Public Works and Transport of Vientiane Capital to complete the study.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on feasibility study of basic information on operation of city administration by advanced electronic system, digital and intelligent system was signed in Vientiane 26 April, between Head of Vientiane Public Works and Transport Service, Mr. Keophila Aphailath, Deputy Director of Huawei Technology Company, Mr. Huang Jum Wu and Head of Vientiane Planning and Investment Mr. Visay Savanna.

It start in Vientiane, they'll also developed other part of the country. It'll take time and a lot of money. Laos is a small country with money you can do anything. Good thing Lao government open up the country and not isolated like Cuba or North Korea.

Actually Cuba is not isolated anymore.  They opened up.

It's an excellent idea.  All those chaotic intertwined overhead electrical and telephone cables and wiring in downtown Vientiane are a real eyesore on every street.

Putting all those wires and cables under the ground will be a HUGE step in turning Vientiane into a beautiful city.

It'll be a hard and expensive job though.

That would really improve Laos if they'll be able to complete the project.  I'm curious how they are going to pull it off with the residents.  It looks like a mess with all the wires going every direction.

With money anything is possible. China know how to build a nice modern city they can help modernize Vientiane.

Beautiful modernized Vientiane mean more tourist, economic and population growth.
