As Dorothy, Scarecrow and Tin Man walk through a dense forest, they encounter the Cowardly Lion, who puts on a good show and acts like he's the most ferocious animal in the world.

But when Dorothy gives him a slap for going around picking on things weaker than he is, he lets his true colours show and starts crying.

Dorothy and co tells the Lion about their journey to see the Wizard of Oz and how they are going to ask him for the things they want, and they invite the Lion to join them in the hope that the wizard will give him some courage.
