As Laos economies grow so will income, and wages. Lawyer take about 6 year of college. Nurse take only 2 year, but hard to get in. It's high demand and lot of people are trying to get in. With $65,000 a year slalary that's about $5,000 a month. Accounting also make about $60k for those who like computer or offices work. But cost of living can be higher here.

That's one thing that people like about America opportunity. Everywhere you look and turn there're business, company, manufacturing, corporation. With the right skilled and education. You can pretty much walk in and apply for a jobs and there are plenty. Some jobs are unskilled and don't need education of course pay is lower. Even economy is slow, but in Minnesota unemployment is only 7.5%.

I want to know, because I want to know. If you don't want to answer, you should just say so. Do go into the 'office' to 'maintain' the website? You could 'work' from home, right?

Who was talking about pay? We are already privy as to how much you earn. $200, right. Is there any surplus at the end of the month? Can one get by in Laos for under $200 a month?

And 'poo sai' means man. You are Mr. Lao4ever, but you wouldn't expect to be called 'poo sai Lao4ever'.

The form when addressing a male is 'Tan' (like 'Mr.). You would be 'Tan Lao4ever'.

And Admin could be addressed as 'Nang Admin'.

With $200 a month, but no house or car payment. It's not enough but what can you do. There's less opportunity and most company will not pay higher then that. You can't just walk to another company like in the U.S and ask for $2,000-$3,000 a month. Average Lao worker make about $100 a month. In the U.S I spend about $250 a month on gas and car insurance alone.

What DOES it mean then? I do call my female subordinates 'nan'; but never my superiors. I'm with old man: it's mainly used when addressing someone MUCH younger than the speaker. If you say it's an ofensive word, then why are you making an exception? Am I missing something? You can tell me anything nang.

I think we've passed the cordial stage in our relationship by now, right. I'm familiar with you; so you too, should be with me. Shall we start using 'goo' and 'ming'? 'Buck Larb Dip' and 'Eee Adminstartor'? How does that sound seaw? Grin

I didn't say that "nang" was an offensive word. What I meant is that you wouldn't call any girl "nang", and it's probably used more by older people when they refer to a young girl. Again, I don't mind if you call me "nang".
