Well, I haven't gone around asking everyone what they believe in, but most Lao elders seem to have a belief in reincarnation. I've translated everything that has been asked, maybe I missed it.

Just say "Gert mah mai" will do for "reincarnation".

Yes, I stare into the computer every day, and sometimes watch a Judy Garland movie or two on TV.

She has starred in over 40 movies, and I watch them again whenever I can.

Maybe Admins has relative oversea who send her movies.

It's a lot of movies for someone who only lived to 47, and she also did other things such as performing in concerts and hosting a TV show. She was very beautiful and talented, someone that I've held in high regard since I was a schoolgirl.

Yes, a relative from overseas sent me some of her DVD movies, but I purchased most of them online over the years.

Looks like fun.

Is it true that back in our parents' generation (I'm only you 'older brother' by a year or two, right) that everybody used to go to sleep as soon as the sun set? There were no such venues to linger after dusk. Man have times changed. My old lady got a bit of a culture shock the first time she went back to Laos. 'This isn't the Laos we left behind', she would say.
