Like a different Louis Vuitton purse for each day of the week?

I only have one purse because I usually don't go out anywhere, but I like luxury. I wouldn't ride a jumbo or tuk tuk for example. I don't like to share meals, if I have larp and soup etc, the bowl must be for myself. I don't like to be out in the sun unless I have a hat or umbrella, prefer to be in an air conditioned room, things like that.

I wouldn't ride a Tuk Tuk either, only motorcycle taxis for me!

Actually that's not quite true, in Laos the Tuk Tuk drivers are ok, in Thailand they are pretty much all thieves. Better to just get a metered taxi if traffic is ok. If it's bad motorcycle taxis are the way to go.

Lao jumbo/tuk tuk drivers are not thieves, but I still don't want to go on it anyway even if they gave me a free ride. I also don't like to ride motorbikes.

Nothing is wrong with that we all want luxury and comfortable life. Nobody want to be poor.

Yes. I understand your point of view Admins. Average Lao worker make about $81 a month. We Lao-American make ok money because USA is a developed and democracy country. Here women go crazy with purse, shoe and clothes because they have money to buy them. If you don't have money to buy something like nice car, you can do payment plan. That way most people can afford them.

When you buy something it make you happy, but after you got it you get bore. It just a waste of money to buy what you want. Not what you need. I go crazy with gadget because I grew up poor in Laos and didn't have much.
Shocked

Yes, but you spend it on your gadgets, and they are your assets that can be exchanged for cash on eBay if you need money.

I make very little money, and I have bills, so I never have enough left for shopping. But I always try to work hard and to the best of my abilities.

If there's a Hi-so and Lo-so...there's got to be a Mi-so, right?  Smiley I think it is just ridiculous how we all label ourselves.  This question is for the Admin.  When you see someone under dress(not to impress) or a dark skin, hideous looking, etc.. How do you go about treating them?  Do you treat them any different?  I figure Hi-so and Lo-so is based on Wallet, and even so how do we determine that?  I know in America we call Hi-so or wannabe "preps" based on how they speak or treat you.

I noticed during the 25th Sea game ceremony, the announcer Siriphone Southammavong sounded very preppy when she speaks (not normal).  However her co-announcer sounded fine.  Here's a You tube link for those that know what I'm talking about.  Her voice is really annoying.  It's funny when she does the news broadcasts she sounded fine.

Hi-So and Lo-So is not always based on "wallet". It's how you act. Some poor girls come from the countryside into the city and act/live like a Hi-So, even though they don't have much money.

We don't treat dark skin people any differently to white skin people. And speaking of white, you look quite white.

She does sound annoying, but she is obviously someone who is very educated and she has confidence in public speaking.

There are Hi-so and Lo-so in Laos too, like everywhere else in the world. Nobody like you if you're poor. This world is about money and power.

You are absolutely right about her.  She's very well educated and very fluent in her English.  I watched many of her news broadcasts, it sounded professional/normal.  When she was the announcer at the Sea Game I felt embarrass for her.  Who talks like that you know what I mean?  She's probably been watching too many preppy American teen movies or something and learning from them. Smiley

In regards to my skin.  Yes, I'm white.  My family members are opposite from me.  It must be genetics who knows.  When I was younger i was tan, when I got older my skin became sensitive.  I tried tanning, but, end up getting burnt or heat rash.

She sounded down-right Caucasian didn't she. 55555

Speaking of Caucasian, I wonder where the word comes from. I'm too tired to look and have to get up early to get my travel shots. (I am really getting excited now!)

Smiley

Anyway, the word Caucasian means white skin race, right? (sort of) but it has the word Asian in it. If no one looks it up for me, I guess I will do it later. Good-night everyone (on this side of the world, that is. 5555), good day to the rest of you!!!

The term Caucasian race has been used to denote the general physical type of some or all of the populations of Europe, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Asia, Central Asia and South Asia.

Historically, the term has been used to describe the entire population of these regions, without regard necessarily to skin tone. In common use, specifically in American English, the term is sometimes restricted to Europeans and other lighter-skinned populations within these areas, and may be considered equivalent to the varying definitions of white people.
