Quote:Ethnicity isn't really that important. No one is 100% Lao, because we were ruled by many countries back in ancient times and alot of the Khmers and Siamese settled here. We are also seeing many mixed Lao-French people from the French colonisation of Laos.
Americans have their ethnic roots from another country, such as yourself. Australians and New Zealanders are descendants of British prisoners, also with many European/Asian immigrants. If the Vietnamese immigrate to Laos then they are a part of the Lao society, just like you are accepted and a part of America.
Lao Hello dear!
I am a Vietnam, currently living and working in Vietnam.
I commented on admin's saying is very true, even if everyone lived where they also are equal, because they only survive life but to drift around, Laos is not an exception.
Not every country of Vietnam to Laos, but also many other countries in the world, and of course the people of Laos, too, right? they want to find life more comfortable and complete.
Whatever the country, we see them as people in the community, helping each other and share your hard times.
Glad to meet you:)
P / s: my foreign language skills are very poor, hope you sympathize!
