Hi,
I am planning to travel to Vientiane for the first time. I have been to Thailand several times (last time in July for about a month and half) but never crossed the border to Laos before. Can someone please suggest a good budget hotel in Vientiane? Also, I am planning to invest some money in Laos Stock Market set to start trading in January. Is there a good stock broker firm I can contact?

There's two hotels opposite each other, Laong Dao 1 and Heung Chaleum 1.

There's also Laong Dao 2 and Heung Chaleum 2 in another location, owned by the same people, they are rich. Laong Dao 3 is currently being built.

These hotels cost around $15 per day. It's better than spending hundreds of dollars at exquisite hotels such as Lao Plaza and Don Chan Palace.

I've never invested so I don't know anything about the Stock Market sorry.
