its a good thing yet at the same time truly sad, so a kid 6 years of age cant get coverage and just lay grasping for air on the streets? so sad, and this is how they treat lao children, if it were hmong children they probably get treated like chicken, pig, cow right?

This is one area Laos is far ahead of the US.  The US has very strange policies - everything is for the very rich.  The big corporations - e.g., insurance companies, drug companies, oil companies, etc control everything.  I am fortunate my husband is successful; it is very bad to be poor in the US.  No safety net for anyone.  Med ins for a family here is close to 1000 per month and car ins not much less.  The ins companies really gouge the public here.  Although my husband is comparatively well off his politics are left of center for the most part.  Me too.
