When people lose an argument, their first reaction is to become angry and start insulting others because they can't win a clean debate.  It just proves my earlier point about Laos people not being able to admit that they are wrong and that they always think they are right no matter what the evidence before them. This leads me to realise that the society isn't very developed at all socially and after 30 years of communist rule, there still exists the brain washing and "re-education".

If you are the newer generation with supposed "education" then you would at least know that prostitution is illegal in the west except for some parts of Nevada with population less than 400,000. I suppose most Laos people in Laos know more about the world than me even though most of them have never even left Laos.

I'm not trying to make a fool ouf of you, nor do I resent Laos people in Laos. I would like to teach them the truth because they have been oppressed for so long but it seems that most of them have the same attitude as I have witnessed here.

I think after all this talk, the only thing agreed upon is that the way of thinking of Laos people in Laos and from the west are different, yet we are both Lao. The reason I come here is to get a view point of how people think in Laos but it seems like the only Laos person on here is the admin. I wonder where the other Laos people are online. I thank you for giving me your thoughts, it is what I sort of expected. I hope you have learned something from me in return. Since I have one person who agrees with me, Deklao, that gives me 1 point, and 0 points for the admin, but no ones really keeping score anyways. I think the real issue is not whether prostitution is illegal or not, everyone can see that it is not good for anyone involved. It is sad that these girls don't have a better choice to make in life. I guess money is still higher than people in some places in this world.

Prostitution itself is not illegal in Australia. However: Street prostitution is illegal in New South Wales and Queensland (though not for the client) and allowed in Victoria if it doesn't happen near schools, churches or hospitals. New South Wales and Victoria allow licensed brothels.

Anyways just wanted to say in some places around the world it is legal. Whether this is right or wrong I dont care, just stating that it does exisit and in some place is legal tho in the USA it isnt.
