LaoPride.com exclusive video of That Luang Stupa way back in 1992.
That Luang Stupa looks very old and the surroundings is different to what we see today because Laos was a very poor country 30 years ago so there was no proper restoration. Very beautiful and natural. Today, That Luang Stupa is covered entirely with gold paint and looks more new and bright from a distance, and the tiles, plants and seatings outside the entrance makes it attractive for tourists. Not many Lao people owned an analog video camera back in those days because they were quite expensive.
