Stunning pair of hand-sewn, silk fabric, leather bows for May 2019 project.

All the stones and beads are custom made to match the originals. In the photo, you can see the "V" cuts on the sides of the high quality glass rectangular stones, exactly like original rectangular stones. This is one example that rigorous attention to detail in the materials is important for us.

Judy Garland as Dorothy's size 5B shoes made from scratch by hand. Our shoes can be worn so these are real genuine shoes made in the same shape, size and comfort as the original ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz.

A golden embossed label with the words "Innes Shoe Co., Los Angeles, Pasadena, Hollywood" is stamped inside the right shoe only.

Both shoe has the writing "#7 Judy Garland."

This beautiful pair of shoes will eventually be covered with sequins to form Gilbert Adrian designed ruby slippers.

Sequining is under way on the right shoe. This is a hand-sewn pair of ruby slippers, therefore every sequin is sewn by hand.

In the background is a photo of Judy Garland with Maud Gage Baum, who was the wife and later widow of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum.

He died in 1919 at the age of 63. MGM's The Wizard of Oz movie, which is based on his novels, was released in 1939 so he was not alive to see the movie, nor was he alive to meet Judy Garland who was born in 1922. Just a bit of history.

This pair of hand-sewn ruby slippers is looking stunning as we edge closer to the finish line with our project in May, 2019.

Judy Garland was very beautiful as Dorothy and they called her "the little girl with the great big voice."
