I have never been there, sorry. Try to google it for information.

I rarely travel to the northern regions of Laos because it can be dangerous over there.

of course it's possible to travel there..you can around xaiyasombun right? they have a bus going there from xiang kuang, but the road is really bad

Danger you say? Danger = Adventure. Do the people carry guns like
they do in America? Do they combine alcohol and guns? Are there
poisonous snakes, etc.? No health care nearby, terrible roads, little
electricity? This sounds as though it would be a memorable experience, providing one survives.
