There's so much information out there, unless you're asking for a "hidden gem" that hardly anybody knows about, which I doubt still exists in a relatively large city like Vientiane.

Are there any quality bespoke tailors in Vientiane? How many Laotian Kip does it take for a beer?

I don't know about bespoke tailors sorry.
A tourist in Vientiane need to remember that pretty much anywhere you want to go, or anything you are looking for, a jumbo or tuk tuk driver (and there's plenty of them on the streets) can help point you to the right direction. They work on the streets every day, and it's their job to take people anywhere they want to go, so they know their way around Vientiane and know where things are located. The price of a beer varies because it depends where you buy it. Restaurants and clubs tend to charge beers at higher prices than small shops on the streets. The price of a beer also depends if you buy beer in bottled, canned or draught. And beer comes in different varieties, whether you want to buy a beer that is made in Laos or a beer imported from another country. |

Yes, people need to eat. daft wrote on 17th Oct, 2017 at 7:50am:
The cost of catching a taxi depends on the distance to where you want to go, usually it costs more than catching a Tuk Tuk and Jumbo. |

You're not required to drink anything that you don't like in Laos.

Really ? You never travel out the house ? |

No, actually never go in the house. The great outdoors is best.
I am speaking of native Lao Animism practices. The houses provided for the spirits are very intriguing |

How powerful is Buddhism and native animism today? Does the younger
care, or is their worship of I-phones and shopping malls? |
