We have had a long break from making ruby slippers to spend time working on things that will improve the way we make our ruby slippers.

This month in June, 2016, we will begin a new pair of ruby slippers with a custom-made size 5B shoes. Judy Garland's cute size as usual!

What's new this month is the right shoe will contain an Innes Shoe Company embossed label which is like a carving on the leather insole. This is different to the typical stamping and woven labels that we've used in the past, the embossing will give the interior of our ruby slippers a more high-end look.

We have no ruby slippers left in stock, every pair has been sold. If you've already purchased a pair of ruby slippers from us, we thank you very much and really recommend purchasing another pair if you can with the emboss label!

This is a beautiful pair of bows that we will be using on our next pair of ruby slippers. Everything you see on the bows is hand-sewn with needle and thread like the bows on the original ruby slippers.

We've got custom-made high quality glass rectangular stones with the authentic "V" cuts, vintage bugle beads, and sparkling red Swarovski rhinestones with rounded claw settings and backs that have criss cross holes that we need to sew through twice, so you can imagine how time-consuming crafting high quality bows like these really is.

All the materials have been sewn tightly, firmly and neatly on a Lao silk fabric overlay and leather which we made really thin. This pair of bows is made to look brand new.

Perfection matters to us, we always sew the materials on our bows to look perfect even when viewed up close!

We've had a change of heart for this project and decided to use a woven satin Innes Shoe Company label for the last time. This label will be sewn onto the insole of the right shoe.

Today marks the birthday of the "Queen of the Musicals" Judy Garland. She was born on 10 June, 1922 and her star sign is a Gemini.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish Judy Garland a very Happy Birthday, and to express our thanks and appreciation for all the fun TV entertainment she has provided since our childhood.

Many Lao kids grew up with Thai dramas and movies, but my family grew up with The Wizard of Oz. If it wasn't for Judy Garland's performance as Dorothy, we wouldn't be making all these beautiful ruby slippers for the world to enjoy, so we thank her for the inspiration and the stepping stone to our success.

For me, personally, as a young Lao girl running around in primary school in Laos, I've always dreamed of owning a pair of Dorothy's ruby slippers, but never dreamed of making them.

As I grew older and gained an understanding of how MGM made the ruby slippers for Judy Garland as Dorothy, I appreciated them more and wanted a near-identical pair, but they didn't sell them anywhere in the world, certainly not the kind of ruby slippers I really wanted. I wanted a pair of ruby slippers that contained the correct materials, sequins hand-sewn neatly, and the bows must also be hand-sewn neatly. These are my three key criteria and nobody could give me a pair that meets my needs, except myself.

Not only am I one of the best in the world in the crafting high quality ruby slippers, but one of the best of all time, and I say it with confidence! I can make my own hand-sewn ruby slippers, and I can also make hand-sewn ruby slippers for the world to share in the magic and enjoy for a lifetime.

Our ruby slippers is always dedicated to Judy Garland, and this month's project will make them a bit more special because it's her birthday month.

Once again wishing a very Happy Birthday to singer-actress Judy Garland on this day, and may her magical ruby slippers through our hands fulfill the dreams of our loyal customers in their life.

This is a pair of shoes we will be using to craft Judy Garland's ruby slippers.

The shoes is custom-made in Judy Garland's size 5B, using our own lasts so you won't find these shoes anywhere else.

The shape of the shoes and the thick heels is 100% identical to the ruby slippers Judy Garland as Dorothy wore in the Witch's Castle. We decided to use vintage woden heels for this pair to match the original heels used in that particular scene in the movie. Wooden heels in the old days were made very strong, and over time they can still support the weight of a person so this pair of ruby slippers is very much wearable.

Under the shoes is painted glossy red, inside both shoe reads "#7 Judy Garland" with a black fountain pen and an Innes Shoe Company label is sewn onto the right shoe. The ruby slippers will be crafted to look like new with metallic red sequins.

Don't think we've missed anything else, we are now all set to sew the sequins onto the shoes.

Sequining is officially underway on our last pair of ruby slippers with the woven Innes Shoe Company label. 

Just beautiful, absolutely beautiful sequining so far and the bow looks very authentic. Making exact replica ruby slippers is hard work and takes patience because you have to sew by hand for long hours.

Sequining on the right side of the right shoe is nearly done. Both sides of the shoe is sequined before the heel.

You can see how neat and flat the sequins are sewn onto the shoe all the way down to the toe, a sign of a very good ruby slipper artist.

Both sides of the right shoe are almost covered with sequins. We are probably three days away from finishing the right shoe.

The right shoe of Judy Garland's ruby slippers is done and it looks beautiful. We are now at the halfway mark of this project.

There's over 2,300 sequins on the shoe. Every area of the shoe, the toe box, the heel, the sides and the back is stitched with attention to detail in a symmetrical pattern.

A gorgeous pair of ruby slippers is getting closer to the finish line as we continue sewing on the left shoe. Doesn't Judy Garland as Dorothy look like a doll? They made barbie dolls based around beauties like her.

When we make high quality ruby slippers like these, we always make sure they look beautiful and presentable so we never like to rush with our work, that's the Lao way.

It's like putting up a dish in a restaurant, is this kind of food that will be enjoyed by the customer? We have finally finished an outstanding pair of ruby slippers after a lot of hard work, and we're super happy with the end result.

The ruby slippers have class, beauty and sexiness in them. MGM Studios wanted Judy Garland to wear something very different from her black schoolgirl shoes in the Kansas scenes, they wanted her in a pair of ladylike red shoes with heels that sparkle and shine.
