1st post here and hope some kind soul can help me.

I am getting married to a Lao citizen and would like to enlist the help of a lawyer or agent that can assist in the registration process.

I've obtained a list of lawyers from some embassies in Vientiane and emailed about 8 of them. And none has replied in 2 weeks. Calls are also unanswered or they don't speak any English (which is weird, seeing that the embassies list them as English speaking). A web search turns out JCLaos and Lao Law but they do charge quite a bit >5K and was hoping to see if anyone here has any contact?

We will be very appreciative of any contact anyone can provide.

Seeing that there is a distinct lack of information on the net on such marriages, I am thinking of blogging the whole process if I were to DIY. Would like to help the lucky people who should fall in love with a Laotian  ;D
