Title: Judy Garland's ruby slippers project in December, 2015 Post by Admin Saovaluck on 6th Dec, 2015 at 3:40pm
This will be our final work with the ruby slippers for 2015. A year goes by so fast. Reserve this beautiful pair early if you can because we operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
You won't receive them in time for Christmas because it takes a few weeks to make, but this is the best time to purchase the ruby slippers with us because the price may increase in the future as our materials become limited and harder to obtain. Below are some publicity still photos of Judy Garland as Dorothy and the Scarecrow on the Yellow Brick Road. She looks very pretty with a nice figure and the ruby slippers really suits her. We always craft ruby slippers for Judy Garland so they are no ordinary ruby slippers, but something special and magical for us. She energizes and inspires us through the painstaking work. There are a couple of ways to reach us and we always respond promptly, whether you message us on Facebook or email your enquiry. This is a gorgeous pair of bows that we will be using on this pair of ruby slippers. They are crafted to look like new in the same condition when Judy Garland as Dorothy had them on her feet in The Wizard of Oz.
Everything is hand-sewn like the original bows so it's very time-consuming. They are made from leather and silk fabric overlay. The high quality glass rectangular stones is exactly identical to the rectangular stones on the original ruby slippers. Why do we say this? Because they are custom-made with the same large face cut and "V" cuts on the sides, with two holes for sewing. We're using vintage rhinestones and bugle beads. The bows look very beautiful, neat and high quality. Not many people will say these are ugly looking bows. Exact replica pair of ruby slipper bows Please click on image to view a larger version |

We have a nice pair of custom-made shoes in Judy Garland's size 5B. The shape of the shoes is spot on, and perfect for any pair of ruby slippers. The beautiful arch shank, pointy toes and long heels with perfect curve at the back has been made identical to "the Witch's Shoes", the best pair of ruby slippers Judy Garland as Dorothy wore in The Wizard of Oz.
The soles have been painted glossy red, the right shoe is stamped with a gold label reading "Innes Shoe Co., Los Angeles, Pasadena, Hollywood", and both shoe is written with "#7 Judy Garland" using a black fountain pen as a final touch. We have about 5,000 sequins to sew onto the shoes so it's not an easy job. The ruby slippers will be made to look brand new, to match the exact condition of the ruby slippers when Judy Garland as Dorothy wore them for filming in 1938. 1930's style reproduction Judy Garland size 5B shoes Please click on image to view a larger version Please click on image to view a larger version Please click on image to view a larger version Please click on image to view a larger version Please click on image to view a larger version Please click on image to view a larger version Please click on image to view a larger version |

We've begun sequining one side of the right shoe, and the neatness of the sequins overlapping each row is just phenomenal. Really, really impressive and these are the sorts of ruby slippers we would buy in a heartbeat if we didn't make them, and were looking to buy a high quality pair of ruby slippers.
The sequins follows the same pattern as the original ruby slippers, and is sewn onto the shoe tightly so when Dorothy jumps around, the sequins don't fall off or become loose. There's still a lot of sewing to do, but that's what you have to deal with when crafting exact replica ruby slippers. Brilliant! Sequining on the left side of the right shoe looks just as neat and beautiful. If you're after the real deal pair of ruby slippers then this pair is it.
Lots of focus and meditation to get this far with the right shoe, we need to continue sewing at the back of the shoe and the heel. We have finished sequining the right shoe of Judy Garland's ruby slippers, and the bow is sewn in place to complete this shoe.
Just when we thought our work is finished, we have to start all over again with the left shoe. It's torture.
