We are beginning a new ruby slipper project in August, 2015, with a custom-made size 5B shoes that is 100% identical to the shape and size as worn by Judy Garland as Dorothy in closeup shots.

This pair is known as the "Witch's shoes", and is the most sought-after replica ruby slippers by Wizard of Oz and Judy Garland fans. Follow the work of another beautiful creation by one of the top hand-sewn ruby slipper fashion designers in the world.

This is a pair of bows that we have created for this pair of ruby slippers. They are perfect in shape and size.

All the beads and stones are hand-sewn in a neat fashion. The high quality glass rectangular stones is hand cut to match the originals so you won't find them anywhere else.

We also used vintage bugle beads, and these rhinestones have rounded antique style claw settings like the originals, unlike modern rhinestones in stores with pointy claw settings.

Judy Garland's dance shoes is a beauty. This shoes is quite small to fit a young Judy Garland as Dorothy, who wears an American size 5B in her teenage years. All this will eventually be covered with individual sequins, over 4,600 of them, so there's a lot of sewing to do.

This shoes contains vintage heels dating back to the 1930's period, they appear thin when viewed from the side exactly like the heels on the original ruby slippers. The shape of the shoes has a 1930's style look about them, with the curve shank.

The right shoe features a woven Innes Shoe Company label, and we wrote "#7 Judy Garland" inside both shoe with a black fountain pen. We painted the soles glossy red, and we have our needle and thread prepared for sequining.

We're underway with the sequining job and it's absolutely superb so far. We use the same sequins as the originals, they are more tiny and thicker than what you see on pre-strung sequins. The ruby slippers will be created to look like new.

When sewing the sequins, we always make sure there's no gaps between the rows, and the positions of the sequins are symmetrical. In other words, the left and right side of the shoe looks like a mirror of each other, just like the original ruby slippers.

The neat bows, and neat placements of the sequins is probably our signature. More often than not, any hand-sewn ruby slippers that looks neat comes from us.

There's still a lot of work to do and challenges to deal with, it's never easy when sewing directly on a curved shoe regardless of your level of expertise.

Sequining on this side of the right shoe is looking exquisitely beautiful. Work will begin on the other side of the shoe soon, and then down on the vintage heel.

You can see how perfect the sequins is sewn on the toe, and along the side of the shoe, following the same pattern as the original ruby slippers.

Both sides of the shoe is almost covered with sequins. We're very happy with the sequining so far, this is a work of a professional in the craft of ruby slipper making.

The sequins is sewn tightly so there's no loose sequins, just like the original ruby slippers because they don't want sequins falling off when Judy Garland jumps around.

Our ruby slippers is made from wearable shoes, so not only can they be displayed, but anyone who can fit a size 5B can slip them on.

The right shoe of Judy Garland's ruby slippers is fully covered with sequins, and we have reached the halfway point of this project.

The sequining on both sides of the shoe is as perfect as can be, and the bow is meticulously sewn onto the shoe. Judy Garland would be pretty happy with how her ruby slippers is shaping up.

We have to start all over again on the left shoe, so our work is far from over. It's easy to give up if you don't put your heart into it because there's a lot of sewing and thinking process when working on a high quality pair of ruby slippers.

We are a week away from finishing this project with Judy Garland's ruby slippers. We couldn't be happier with how the ruby slippers is progressing thus far, but there's still a lot of sewing to do on the left shoe.

Sequining on both sides of the left shoe is done, and the placement of thousands of individual sequins is flawless.

We now work at the back of the left shoe and also the heel, and there's a lot of sewing to cover this large area. It's like the back and bum of a human, there are large parts behind us.

We are very impressed with the shape of this pair of ruby slippers, and the way the sequins beautifully overlap each other.

There's no visible loose threads at the bottom and top of the ruby slippers like you normally see on ruby slippers with pre-strung sequins.
