Please try to refrain from posting anything unnecessary on this particular thread because many people will be coming here to see the ruby slippers. The next production will be so beautiful just like Judy Garland as Dorothy wore.

In regard to your question, that depends what people believe. If you don't believe in something then it doesn't mean anything to you, that's what life is all about.

Some ruby slipper makers believe that they've touched an original piece of item that Judy Garland wore or owned, and therefore their ruby slippers have a connection to her superpowers because they are made by their "hand".

The ruby slippers I craft is magical because I believe that Judy Garland's spirit put them on the shoes. Her photo stands beside them and I have made my wish to her.

Remember that if you are a Buddhist, a pair shoes, even ruby slippers can't be placed higher than a photo or statue of Buddha and monks. At my place, a pair of ruby slippers is on display up high but they are in another room and a fair distance away from Buddha and monk objects.

This is my bow, and the bow on the original ruby slippers as a comparison.

You wouldn't see too many better bows than that. I'm only one of the few in the world who knows how to make authentic bows with the right shape and materials.

This bow will be used on the ruby slippers, so stay tuned with the ruby slipper project.

Judy Garland's stunning size 5B base shoes is now in place to begin the sewing process with sparkling red sequins, thanks to Daniel for providing the shoes. The bottom of the shoes also needs to be painted red.

Inside the right shoe has a gold stamp exactly like the originals, reading "Innes Shoe Co. Los Angeles, Pasadena, Hollywood".

It's nice but you haven't seen anything yet.

This is the same base shoes that MGM used to make the ruby slippers for Judy Garland as Dorothy to wear in The Wizard of Oz. It's covered with red silk fabric overlay, and all set for me to get started with the sequins.

This base shoes is the real deal that was constructed with precision and attention to detail. It's the size 5B "witches shoes" with slightly higher heels and more pointy toes than other pairs of ruby slippers.

The hottest pair of shoes that Judy Garland as Dorothy wore in the movie so I'm looking forward to working with them.

Okie dokie, the bottom of the shoes is now red as you can see from the reflection in the mirror, so we're all set and ready to apply the sequins to the shoes.

Please note that the original size 5B ruby slippers is the only surviving pair of slippers without orange felt on the leather soles at the bottom of the shoes, hence the lack of orange felt on our size 5B base shoes.

Our base shoes is pretty much an exact copy of the original "Innes Shoe Company" base shoes that was used to make the prized size 5B ruby slippers for Judy Garland as Dorothy to wear in The Wizard of Oz.

It is good that Debbie Reynolds kept the original pair of shoes in pristine condition.

She owns the Arabian Test Shoes, a different style of shoes that never made it into the actual movie, and to me they are worth nothing.

The ruby slippers are more beautiful and it's what draws people to them.

She is an olden day actress. You can be forgiven for not knowing her.

She purchased the Arabian test pair for $300 in 1970, and she sold them for about $630,000 to pay back her debts in 2011 so I take back what I said. She doesn't own them anymore.

The original size 5B ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland as Dorothy had a gold label which suggests this pair was the top end shoes.

The progress of our ruby slippers will be shown in the next couple of days. A lot of work still needs to be done but they are looking beautiful so far and nobody should miss it.

This is one of Judy Garland's base shoe for the ruby slippers in the construction stage I guess you could call it.

There's still lots of work ahead but it's looking stunning so far with the shiny red sequins. The sequins are sewn onto the built-in overlay with a regular straight needle without going through the actual shoes so it takes some skill.

Our ruby slippers is being created to look like new in 1939, or 1938 when the The Wizard of Oz started filming, so you're about to see a very high quality reproduction of a pair of ruby slippers that's in pristine condition and ready for Judy Garland as Dorothy to wear on the set.

The ruby slippers is turning more shinny.

This side and the bum of the shoe is finished, but there's still a lot of sewing to do on the other side of the shoe. That's why high standard ruby slippers like this is expensive, it takes a long time to make.

Hot! The sequining job on this side of Judy Garland's ruby slippers is finished, in fact the entire right shoe is finished.

Judy Garland's name will be written on the side of the shoe as a final touch but that will be done later. There's still a long way to go as we now focus our attention on the left shoe.

This is the set of bows that is finished and will be used on the ruby slippers which should be completed in a few months, it's a long project. The bows have been created to look brand new, as if they are ready to be stitched onto the ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland as Dorothy in 1939.

We used the same technique and materials by MGM costume designer, Gilbert Adrian. Only very few people in the world can create world-class bows like these.

Judy Garland's ruby slippers is done! We just need to add her name on the shoes to complete the project which finished faster than expected.

Normally it takes at least 6 months to build hand-sewn ruby slippers if worked on a casual basis, but we treated it like a full-time job and spent 9 hours per day carefully sewing each sequin one by one.

A lot of people would love to get their hands on this size 5B ruby slippers. This pair is the real deal, a beautiful replica of the ruby slippers that Judy Garland as Dorothy wore in The Wizard of Oz.

I'm the artist who created these ruby slippers but some people are also involved in the project. Those who provide the supplies, the information, and assist me when need be. The assisting include holding the shoes while I work on the difficult areas, things like that.

Judy Garland is an actress in a number of movies, including The Wizard of Oz. If you've never seen it before then I suggest you watch it before you die.

Not sure was it during the twilight, but sure that there has normal weather day and night time. Actually, that wicked old witch of the west is not very powerful. you see from many stories any dark lord should have power to turn/ keep the sky in the dark condition. The old witch might have that power with wearing the ruby slippers?? Can't imagine that the old witch is tapping her heels to use the spell or magic.
