hey you guys , i was bored and decide to look up isan people on utube. Holy chit i understand everything they say. Then i went and look more .They are actually Lao people .This might be old news i guess.

I don't have access to utube. When I was in Khon Kaen Thailand, they told me that area called Issan area.

Tai Orathai is thai singer from the Issan region I think and I can understand her lyrics clearly because sounds like she is singing in my native tongue :D. She's cute too, so that is a plus. ;D

Yes and only 55% of the 7 million of Laos population 3.5 million is ethnic Lao. The rest are ethnics minority. Like Hmong, Viet, Mein, Thai, Chinese, and so on.

After Laos lost the war to Thailand during 1900. They force most of Lao population to live in Thailan and took 1/2 of Laos territory :)

That's how nature work big fish eat small fish. Laos have no chance against Vietnam or Thailand. Vietnam 90 million people. Thailand 65 million. Laos only 7 million.

Laos lost before we were fighting among ourself and not uniting. Last time Lao united was king Fa Ngam and Laos become biggest empire in Southeast Asia.

It's pretty hard to spell his name in English.
His official name in English is "Fa Ngum", which sounds like "Fah Ngoom" when spoken in Lao. |

Cost of living is also cheaper in Laos. I can retire and do non profits, charity work. There are many organization in Laos. :)
