Xipsongpanna - About 1 million
Burma - About 4 million
Thailand - About 21 million
Laos - About 3.6 million

Because of the border many Lao have relative in Burma, Isan, Xipsongpanna, Vietnam, Cambodia they still go back and forward visiting each other. Same culture and tradition. :)

Most ethnics is Lao living in the neighboring country because those used to be Laos territory.

After Thailand defeat Jao Anouvong they took all the Laos territory. But the French make them give east of Mekong territory back to Lao. If not because of the French there will be no Laos country today.

Laos was invade by Thailand, Burma,Vietnam. Everybody want piece of the pie. When they defeat you they can take your land, slave your people. Big fish eat small fish. Life is not fair. :)

Ok that was not fair to hate the French ;D because was it them that build buildings, roads and other infrastructures in the country back in the day?

I blame all the foreigner power. They all have thier own interest. Just like a Wild West you can't trust nobody. War and conflict around the world through out history of mankind is about money and power, land, natural resource. :)

You probably do not want to be the boss. Being the boss makes you a target ;). Aim and stay inside the middle and be camourflaged with your surroundings.
