Hello. I am new to this site, but definitely not new to the Laos culture. I live in California and my wife is Laotian. I've been with her for 5 years now. Her family is from Laos and came here when she was 5.

We just had our first child back in April. I want to get a tattoo that celebrates both his Lao heritage and his German Heritage, as Germany is where my family is from.

I am looking for a symbol that represents the Lao people in general. I've see the three-headed elephant used a lot. Is this the best symbol to use or is there another? Any input is greatly appreciated.

A belated congratulations on becoming a father. I've never been a fan of tattoos but I hope you make the right choice with whatever tattoo you choose.
