Hello, I get a ride home from my laotian freind and he will not accept gas money, what can I give him in exchange?

Maybe he doesn't require any money from you because the distance is short.

Is this a friend in Laos? If it is, you could give him a small gift such as a t-shirt or a small bottle of Red Label whiskey if he drinks alcohol.
