Is there any one living in Thakhek who knows of a mini-bus hire company with a good English/French speaking driver/guide to take 3 elderly westerners from Thakhek to Luang Prabang for a 3 day tour in October. I used the Laos tourist office 8 years ago but now cannot find a direct email address for them.
Personal emails with any information are OK.

I know people from Thakhek but they don't know any tour guides.

Thakhek is a small town down south, and they would need to pass through Vientiane on their way to Luang Prabang. There are mini bus hire and guide in Vientiane, try to google it.

Thanks for that; I may end up hiring from Vien. However, I live opposite Thakhek and wanted my visitors to be driven from Thakhek-LP- Vien and taking in a few sites en route. Then I would collect them back in Thailand at N Khai bridge I'll see what other answers I get before deciding.
