The Wizard of Oz superstar, Judy Garland lived a wonderful life of service and achievements. She was a gorgeous singer-actress who spent most of her life in the public eye, as well as in front of the cameras.
People with no interest in Hollywood celebrities don't understand why movie fans use words like "hero" to describe their favourite celebrities. They find such terms over-the-top, and best saved for those who make the wider world a better place.
Judy Garland, the world's greatest entertainer, did exactly that. She made the world a better place. Judy Garland was a genuine hero, not just because of her show business achievements but the way she lived and reached out to people in the world made her worthy enough of the hero tag.
