We just opened a new company specialized in business consulting, translation and insurance.

Right now we are looking for English-Lao-English and French-Lao-French translators and interprets to complement our pool of language specialists. Only freelance workers are needed for now, on a project-by-project basis, but full time positions may be available soon.

Your translation skills are not required to be academic grade, but a good understanding of idioms, the will to make necessary research, the ability to adapt wording according to context, attention to details and a strong commitment to meet deadlines are a MUST.

What is the pay like?

That's probably a vital piece of information missing.

Is that why you didn't apply?

I meet their criteria but I'm too busy to apply regardless of their salary.

Those who are interested will obviously want to know how much they'll be paid.

Translated get pay pretty good. In U.S about $25 an hrs. They let you know the salary at interview.

That's a reasonable pay rate in the U.S.

She is only looking for freelance workers, so I think the salary is not fixed, and can be negotiable, which is why she didn't provide any information in relation to payment.

1. translation or Interpreting,
2. pair of language
3. level & expirience of the linguist
4. deadline
5. document format (PDF/word/ Power point/other, or interpreting simultaneous/ consecutive/ other...)
6. difficulties of document (Law/ medical/ energy/ simple letters/ CV/ Birth certificate....)
