The Wizard of Oz sweetheart, Judy Garland was the brightest star in Hollywood's Golden Era. Being chosen to play Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz was an honor for her, and winning the Juvenile Oscar was the icing on the cake. It was definitely one of the biggest highlights of her career.

Judy Garland received numerous awards in her life for her work in film, television, music recording and on stage. Gifted with the most beautiful voice in the world, she sang to more audiences than anyone can imagine.

It depends what "star" you are referring to.

A star for celebrity is pronounced "dalah".

A star in the sky is pronounced "dao".

Two different words? here in chinese, the same word for 2 meanings.

I am not familiar with 'dao'. This must be a northern Laos word?
