Good topic. I think it's time we had a proper debate on here. I'm starting to tire myself from sexual recollections. My anecdotes have long since  lost the nostalgia effect.

I'd like to hear how the admin' justifies 'Lao Commie live in West but Lao-Exile can't return'.

What you mean Lao commies live in the west? Last time I heard Lao government try to encourage Lao oversea to move back, live, open business or visits Laos.

What would happen?

Politics is still very sensitive in Laos. We have to be carefully when we're there. Have fun and do whatever you wanted. Just don't get involved in politics.

We can wear three head elephant shirt. When Laos become a democracy country in the future. Be patient my friends. There're some who are on the blacklist. Might be a good thing new Lao generation of Socialist living or studying in the west and bring that knowledge back to Laos.

I don't want to get involve. I was born after the war, and don't know enough about Laos politics.

If you're on their black list, it means that you obviously did something wrong in the past, most likely you're a war crimimal.

Every country have their own black list, they won't let certain people enter for various reasons, and Laos is no different.

Why don't you just change your name? I'm sure they won't recognise your face after all these decades.

I guesss you are talking about me about the current Lao communist flag shirt.  I would consider myself this 'new generation' of Lao ppl living in the US and I am/and will not criticize any types of politics in Laos because I do not need to and I do not see the point because the war is over already and they are opening up to all people.  

As a matter of fact I have a dozen shirts of Laos ... that included the '3 headed elephants', '100% made in Laos"  and 'Lao UXO' shirts just to name more to show the people around where I exist that our motherland exists on this planet.

No matter what the current status of Laos, I do not despise or have any hatred against the current decision makers or future leaders in Laos.  The majority of Lao populations need our prayer to hope for the best for everyone over there.  I am positive things will get better between all people of different factions to eventually come together as ONE, JUST LIKE BLOOD ON BLOOD!

It will not happen overnight and definitely will take sometime.

They may not recognise your face, but your name is enough information for them.

You can change your name, but that's not going to get you off the hook. Your birth name is always kept on file and you need to provide details of any name changes you made in the past. Lao authorities may even "get in touch" with the authorities in your country to get any new information about you.

Lao government probably have spy in many western country. They know everything.

War been over for 36yrs but the killing is still going on in Laos, Why?  Only a dummy would had say: " NEVER HEARD ABOUT IT."

If I was born with the name : "Kaysone Nguyen Phomvihanh", I would use it as it is.  I am " Ai Lao " not "Keow".

War was bad for both sides. Right or Wrong can't be judge by one side. Just like Black and White, which color is beautiful?

I don't think anyone wants to abduct me.

Me too I stay away from politics. Politics is a dirty and evil game. To be a politician you have to be a good lier too. Look at Thailand for example. Big mess there. Opposition are jail or murder just like Laos.

Speaking of Lao being sponsored and moving to America, it all depends what their agendas are.  They come here to work and find opportunity and a new life, the government here has no issue with that.  If you come here from Laos and start political problems or do anything illegal towards the government or harm their citizens, I can assure you this person will get deported back to Laos along with his/her family that brought him here.  In the past, it has happened in some cases.

Agreed. It's like that's in every country. You'll be fine if don't cause a trouble.
