Title: 50 woman liberate Vientiane
Post by Larb Dip on 25th Apr, 2011 at 7:16am
What does this mean:

'On August 23, 1975, a contingent of 50 Pathet Lao women, symbolically "liberated" the city'.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vientiane

I'm sure this is taught in schools from day one, right? Can you explain to me what they did and it's significance?

Why can't you educate me on this subject nang?

Unfortunately, I don't know much about Lao history because it was never my strong field of study.

Have you even heard of it?

Let's just hope they didn't do anything devious as that Thao Suranari. She was a fabrication, just like these 'heroes', right?

Maybe I have heard of it during my school years, now all is forgotten.
