Title: Sexy dresses hit the streets of modern Laos
Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 24th Apr, 2011 at 2:59am

Our model sports a tight long zip dress.

Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) sports a wider long zip dress.

She is 'HOT! HOT! HOT!'.

Where did that piece of attired that she's donning come from? From up north? Is it Chinese?

Do they have any REAL prominent designers in Laos?

You are wrong.

Look at the photo again and try to screen out the overflowing hair (which could be a wig for all you know) and the over-applied makeup, and you will see that she is not particularly attractive at all.

Why does Administrator keep posting these pictures of attractive Lao girls in sexy poses?  Is there something going on here I haven't cottoned onto yet?

Yes, it looks like she's wearing one of those clip-on extensions.  You can see where her real hair ends and the curly wig comes down from under it.

Isn't this site connected with laobabes.com and laogirls.com?  The links for "forum" on those two sites take you to laopride.com  One of the links on the front page is "How To Kiss A Lao Girl - The art of a French kiss."  Good grief.  For all the talk on here about how great traditional Lao girls are, etc., the amount of blatant skank leaves me a little confused.

I haven't figured it out yet. It seems like a really inefficient dating site/trap. With a pretty decent forum attached.

Maybe Admin could explain what the point of these pictures is, and what the other websites are for.

BlastSweep, Yes, that's what is considered sexy in Laos. Maybe it's normal in your country.

Larb Dip, We have local designers, but obviously not big on the world stage. It's probably a western fashion that's coming into Laos, Posh Spice wears it too.

Old Man, She is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but she is certainly not the most unattractive women out there.

Abercrombie, It's her real hair, and it's a two layered hairstyle that we call "pom sorng sun" in Lao language. Two layered hairstyles, with one style being short, and one style being long and different, are popular among the younger Lao generation in the city.

JSEA, Other pictures besides Lao ladies have been posted throughout the forum from Lao foods, to festivals and even mud. Laopride.com is part of the Lao network of sites, but I only help them manage this site and Judy Garland's dedication site: Freemusicalecards.com

Laos LXE, I'm just a simple employee on $200 US a month. I don't have a brain for business.

That's reasonable.

Could you tell us a little about the business model the website is built on?  After all, to pay you and to cover the other expenses involved in running the website, the site has to generate an income from somewhere.

I don't see it.

NO I AM NOT WRONG!!! SHE IS 'HOT! HOT! HOT!'.

You're right it does look like a wig. Even her eyelashes look counterfeit like they have been clipped on. ;D If anything, it onlt enhances her beauty. Lets not forget: models are only someone else mannequins, right?
I would still pay for her company. if you know what i mean. ;)

What's the problem with these 'sexy' photos? I am a supporter and am keenly urging her to upload more. :D

Old Man, The people behind the scenes have been in the internet business for over 10 years, so they're experienced campaigners. I won't discuss their income because they don't like it, but they can manage to pay me.

Larb Dip, It's not a wig, I have seen her and also others with two layered hairstyle. One of my relative have EXACTLY the same hairstyle as her, except the second layer is shorter than her. It's a fashion in Laos, maybe you've never seen anything like it in your country.

Why the mystery?  I wasn't asking how much money the 'people behind the scenes' make - just what the business model is.

For example, is it possible to pay to place adverts on the website/s?  The new owners of my resort might be interested in doing so.

We don't accept advertisements directly. Those who wish to advertise on Laopride.com can do so, but they need go through a third party called Google Adwords, and their ads will appear on our site, as you can see on our main page.

You're doing a great jobs Admins, $200 a month in Laos is not bad. You should ask for a big raise like $300 a month sound better.

$200 ok but $300 is better. You should get pay by what you're worth, not by what they tell you. Of course they want to pay you as cheap as they can because it mean more money in their pocket. That's how business work.

If I earn $300, then you'll be telling me to ask for $400. Nothing is enough, we always want more income in any job.

Initially, I was paid $100 a month, but they raised that to $200 a month, so I can't complain.

It doesn't hurt to ask. In the U.S worker get a raise every year. We has to think about inflation. When it come to money it's never enough. Even some people with lot and lot of money they still think it's not enough. But they say "no squeak no oil."

They might fire me if I ask them.

"You want $300? Here's the door for you. We can get another person for $100."

It probably depends what job you do to get a pay rise in the U.S.

You are the best at your jobs, and good as what you do. Your boss know it. You're not replaceable. An intelligent and with good English skilled like you will do very well in the U.S. You can become a nurse or maybe a lawyer here. Nurse make about $65,000 and lawyer make about $100,000 or more.

Nursing jobs sounds okay, but lawyer jobs can be stressful at times.

With your English and pha sa Lao skills, maybe start a travel agency business.  More and more foriegners will visit Laos in the future their will be a huge market for them to hire travel agencies.

As Laos economies grow so will income, and wages. Lawyer take about 6 year of college. Nurse take only 2 year, but hard to get in. It's high demand and lot of people are trying to get in. With $65,000 a year slalary that's about $5,000 a month. Accounting also make about $60k for those who like computer or offices work. But cost of living can be higher here.

That's one thing that people like about America opportunity. Everywhere you look and turn there're business, company, manufacturing, corporation. With the right skilled and education. You can pretty much walk in and apply for a jobs and there are plenty. Some jobs are unskilled and don't need education of course pay is lower. Even economy is slow, but in Minnesota unemployment is only 7.5%.

I want to know, because I want to know. If you don't want to answer, you should just say so. Do go into the 'office' to 'maintain' the website? You could 'work' from home, right?

Who was talking about pay? We are already privy as to how much you earn. $200, right. Is there any surplus at the end of the month? Can one get by in Laos for under $200 a month?

The nearest translation I can think of for 'nang' is 'Miss' (sometimes 'Madam', but I think 'Nang' mainly reserved for younger women).

The form when addressing a male is 'Tan' (like 'Mr.).  You would be 'Tan Lao4ever'.

With $200 a month, but no house or car payment. It's not enough but what can you do. There's less opportunity and most company will not pay higher then that. You can't just walk to another company like in the U.S and ask for $2,000-$3,000 a month. Average Lao worker make about $100 a month. In the U.S I spend about $250 a month on gas and car insurance alone.

What DOES it mean then? I do call my female subordinates 'nan'; but never my superiors. I'm with old man: it's mainly used when addressing someone MUCH younger than the speaker. If you say it's an ofensive word, then why are you making an exception? Am I missing something? You can tell me anything nang.

Next time I'm in Laos, I'm going to go 'hunting' for my future wife. ;D As soon as someone can tell me what district Vientiane City is in, the sooner I can do my homework, and start conspiring. Anyone know if the city is within walking distance from the Friendship Bridge? It's only 15-20 minutes from my village. It's the best reference I have right now. An operation of this magnitude needs to be carried out with military text book precision. A roll of duct tape, a blindfold, a pair of handcuffs and a Swiss Army pocket knife are essential! She's coming with me in peace or in pieces. I'm not taking "NO!" for an answer! ;D
