I am planning to my retirement right now! I just want to know where is a nice plan to live in or around Vientiane?  I will be living with my wife...Preferably near the river but not Mekong river.  I would be renting for the first year. Yeah I know Gumby and see him around. Lao population in MN I think around 10,000. Most Lao live in California about 100,000 or more there.

10,000 is HUGE compared to the whole of the Lao diaspora in NZ. That's already 10x the amount in your city alone!

He speak Lao but not 100% I think. I like Lao rapper from Laos too LOG, Pull-T Club.

LOG can flow too. The problem with them is that their lyrics has a queer 'kids' tone to it. I would enjoy their music more if they actually rapped about 'adult' themes.

I believe the only river near Vientiane (not the Mekong) is the Nam Ngum river where we live.  There is also the Nam Lik river which is further out.

There was an ad in the Vientiane Times this week from 'Noy' who has two hectares of land on the Nam Ngum river she wants to sell.   It's on the other side of the river from us.
