I was wondering if it is legal to use a handheld GPS like the one shown below in Laos. I would like to be able to save the coordinates of sites that I see while I am in Laos. Later I will be able to use Google Earth to see them from that perspective. Just wondering, I think it would be a nice way to show my children places I was visiting.

If it works, then I don't see why it can't be legal.
