Title: acutally gen. vang pao did not make arlington Post by longhang on 11th Feb, 2011 at 7:19am
actually i posted that he did but it was a rumor but now the fact is gen. vang pao was not buried at arlington cemetary. the pentagon did not ok.
anyway i think hmong people deserve more respect because hmong people help save the life of downed american soilders who airplanes were shot down during the war. on top of that many hmong soildiers fought for the idea of democracy then they were hunted down because of it. the american people lost the vietnam war not the government. |

He probably wants to be buried in Laos.
It's a controversial issue. I don't know much about General Vang Pao, but he probably didn't represent the US. He may have been a US ally in the past, but things change quickly. He has a history of arrest, and there's possibly bad blood between him and the US Government in recent times. |

Bad news. He should be bury in Arlington. He is US allies and fought for US government. I also don't know much detail about General Vang Pao. I was born after Vietnam War.

Like I said, things change quickly.
The US and Laos have amended their relationship over the years, and are now good friends. So when Vang Pao attempted to overthrow the Lao Government a few years ago, he lost alot of respect. Also, he and his Hmong supporters constantly accuse the Obama administration for not doing enough to help their people in Laos, so they don't consider him a hero to Americans. It's sad that he died, but I understand the decision of the United States. |

I'm sure that a lot of Americans love (or used to love) Mr. Bush, otherwise he wouldn't have served two full terms as President.

personally i like the idea that he is not buried at Arlington. he is now buried in a good, respectful cemetery where we all can go to, and if his family wish they can be buried next to him. at Arlington you cant do that. it would have been nice of the u.s to ok gen vang paos burial but i guess if they ok it, they have to ok many other burials.
hmongs great leader has passed on, but as i said there are many capable leaders in the hmong community across u.s that can bring peace amongst us all as long as we work together. |

Alway look at the brighter side. I still think that he should be buried in Arlington or Laos. Give a man his last wish what's the big deal.

Bush didn't win by must, but he's out. Many American also vote his Republican party out of offices. I votes for Obama and Democrats. In my opinion Republican Party is for the rich and big business. Democrats Party are for working class and poor. 8-) :) |

I think Democrats is better. Economies was good during Clinton. Republican want to cut taxes for rich, but cut social program, healthcare, education benefits for working class.

Ah, politics. It provokes much discussion and dissension. I once heard that if you don't want to start an argument in mixed company, you should not talk about religion, politics, (and there was something else, I believe, but I can not recall at this time).
