Good vdo. Lao in Issan should also learn how to read, and write in Lao language. At the moment I think they only learn Thai at school under Thailification of Issan.

It's great, but if they speak or write in Thai, Lao people will still understand them.

Maybe they should put their time and effort into learning English, it's a universal language and is more needed.

Right but there are many people who take language classes for pleasure not because it's universal or "needed" too. This video could help tourists when they go to Laos. I know most Laotians understand them but this will give them a whole new dimension of experience when visiting Laos. It might make their trip to Laos even more fun.  :)

Some Lao-American also don't know how to speak Lao very well. "If you don't use it you lose it." This VDO should be helpful. They're also working on google Lao translation.

The video is only helpful in talking Lao in a restaurant. Towards the end of it, the waitress keeps saying "kanoy" to the customer. Waitresses in Laos are never that polite, most of them don't even smile at you.

Yes, this particular video is only useful at a restaurant. If there is more videos on other topics however it'll be useful to many tourists. I want my Laos motherland to have a lot of income, so personally anything that attracts people to go to Laos makes me happy. :)
